synopsis

The bedroom is very small and not furnished at all. Next to the mattress on which Eva is lying are moving boxes. The day has long since begun, but she is not yet ready to face it. Eva hides her face under the pillow to hide her tears from her 6-year-old daughter, who is still in her pyjamas. From time to time she looks at her cautiously. Anna sits on her legs. She starts singing very loudly to get her attention. Then she pulls her half-eaten apple out from under the blanket and continues eating it. Eva takes off her T-shirt and rolls onto her stomach. Anna takes a black felt-tip pen from a box and begins to draw on her mother’s back. Eva can’t see what she is drawing, but because she is enjoying it, she lets her continue. She takes a small mirror, checks her appearance and begins to wipe away her tears. At first she is startled when she sees her swollen eyes. Through the mirror she suddenly sees her daughter’s face smiling at her. She smiles back, puts the mirror on the floor and takes another minute to collect herself. Eva turns around and tries to get Anna’s attention. She suddenly starts singing the same song to cheer her up. But the song also gives her a little strength. Eva gets up and jumps onto the mattress with Anna. She is half naked. On her back we see the picture of her daughter – a family of three. Mother, father, child.
